About Me…
Art has always been a way for me to connect with the places and moments I love most. Whether it’s the calm of the shoreline or the spirit of a beloved pet, painting allows me to capture what feels meaningful and lasting.
I grew up in Newark, Delaware, and later spent twenty years in Chester County, Pennsylvania, before settling in Ocean View, Delaware. While I had always been drawn to the beauty of the beach, it wasn’t until the end of 2016, when I began taking lessons at Willowdale Art Academy, that I discovered my passion for painting.
My work often reflects the subjects closest to my heart. The coast has long inspired me, so I find myself painting seascapes, shells, and other elements tied to the ocean. My love of animals, especially my dog Guinness and my son’s dog Dusky, has also led me to create pet portraits that capture the warmth and personality of beloved companions.
I started out with acrylics, but over time I’ve grown to love oils for their richness and depth. Which medium I choose depends on what I feel will best bring the subject to life. For me, painting is more than creating an image. It allows me to slow down, focus, and unwind.
Most days, I paint in my loft studio at home, but I look forward to bringing my easel to the beach where I can work with the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the ocean just steps away.
